Standard Dry-Ice/Ln2 containers for SLI/CF by piotres - rev. 3.0

    Hi

First I want to say I haven't been sure about correct section of forum to show this ..if I've made mistake ..sorry .

I've already showed mine many SLI/CF containers kits on XS.org forum, but this time I've decided to show rev. 3.0 this place too .

    Topic about rev. 1 & 2 on XS.org :

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=118458

    That's rev. 3.0 ”light” :yeah: .

LIGHT = only difference to ”full” version is thickness of cooper plate (”back wall”) brazed on the half-pipe - 5 mm in ”full” version, and 0.3 mm in ”light” version . Weight of whole container is lower, price too :banane: .

Changes compared to rev. 2.0 :

    - bigger base - 70 x 80 mm with holes for GF series 8x00

On this photo before polishing :yeah: .

Backplates are made on CNC, they're 2.0mm thick stainless . Insulation is 19 mm thick (dry even on Ln2 :yeah: ) .

If You want one kit or one container (or more hehe) - write me PM .

    Regards
    Peter

    Some questions:
Do you clean them inside after brazing?
Is that soft solder or do you used silver rods?
I really don't think that 19mm is enough for LN2 ! Did you test it?
Patrickclouds ?(23:40): natürlich wäre es cool wenn wir marktführer im bereich cryo cooling werden würden....

No, that's hard solder, it's just bronze with 5% silver .

I have never used soft solder to anything, we know that it suxx .

I use a ”lemon acid” water mix to clean them ...just put each piece of cooper for 10 hours to water with acid, and then polishing . Inside is very clean too ...all oxidations are removed by acid :banane: .

Mine friend has benched with Ln2, and he has told me that 19mm K-FLEX is enought :yeah: .

    19mm Armaflex is not enough...
I had problems with 38mm Armaflex! I'll try 57mm Armaflex asap and then tell you...

LN2 benching ist hard! Insulation is nearly impossible -> best thing is a box filled with nitrogen gas, because there is no steam inside...
